It's been 3 full months since my last post!! Sorry all! I am sure you've all been waiting with bated breath for my next post. ;)

I am going to try to do better in the coming days and months. chavia was gracious enough to give me her "old" digital camera since she got her cool Nikon D-80. She's turning into quite the photographer! All that to say hopefully my site will get a bit more interesting since I will have pictures to post now!

I AM still alive and promise more posts to come. =)

Life's Simple Pleasures

i've been tagged officially about ten times and now two weeks later I'm finally responding. =)

Instructions: Name 10 of life's simple pleasure that you like the most, then pick 10 people to do the same. Try to be original and creative; try not to use things that someone else has already used.

1. being at the beach and feeling the spray of the ocean on my sun-baked skin

2. running outdoors on a beautiful day

3. playing a Steinway grand in an empty concert hall (acoustics are better that way) =)

4. making kids laugh and seeing their little faces light up when they see me

5. discovering a new artist and enjoying the creativity that God has blessed them with

6. driving on a clear sunny day with the windows down and country music blaring

7. reading a passage of Scripture for the fiftieth time and the Lord illuminating a new truth to me in that well-loved passage that i've never seen before

8. discovering and trying new recipes

9. the color of the clear blue sky and the air in the fall after the summer humidity has left

10. waking up each morning with the awareness that this new day is an undeserved gift from God

honestly, i don't think there is anyone left to tag...as i'm super behind on putting my favorites up. if you haven't been tagged yet and you're reading this, then you're it! =)

I have been meditating on Psalm 139 these past few days, what a powerful reminder that God knows every thought of mine as well as every word before it's on my tongue.

" O, Lord you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it...how precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!"

These verses have helped me lift my eyes up above my circumstances and to the Lord, the Creator of Heaven and earth who knows every step I take. He knows the end from the beginning and what comfort there is when I am believing that simple truth about God. May my life reflect a quiet trust and submission to my Saviour's intimate knowledge of me.

hi again everyone...technically I hear it's against the rules to post two entries in one day but, I figure it's okay for me to do considering I've gone a good month and a half without posting anything! =) anyways, who makes up these rules?!

I wanted to share a couple pictures of two of my special friends...McCarthy and Daisy Simmons! These two(along with their little sister Rylie) are some of my favorite people to spend time with. It is such a joy watching them grow up. Carthy and Daisy, thanks for letting me be a part of your lives and for being my special little friends. I love you guys so much! =)

Passion: Everything Glorious

This past month has been busy yet, the Lord has sustained me and continued to fill me with joy in Him. I have grown increasingly aware of how quickly time passes. My temptation often is to just try and endure  through another day as I consider all I need to get done, all I wish I could get done, and all the ways I fall short.  Yet, today the Lord reminded me of how precious time is. The only chance I have to live Thursday, July 27, 2006 was today. He prepared good works for me to do and He alone will enable me to walk out each day to glorify Him.  He says in His Word that each day is a day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!
